I really liked this song -- probably one of the first vylet songs I had listened to, so I decided to animate for it!

It took just under 2 months of work to do, and I tried using a new style that was a bit simpler, with minimal shading; I found this to have a nice workflow.

The shots in the background were mostly photos I took while I was staying in Japan for a bit while making this-- it has shots like the school I was at, and some of the roads there.

For some further context of the song itself, this is what Vylet posted as a description to the video:

'“in a rush” i originally wrote on the kawai baby grand piano my grandmother left our family. the song was sort of in the same spirit that would inevitably evolve into antonymph, but it didn’t quite hit that mark exactly. i don’t think i was that good of a writer at the point of making the song, so the lyrics are kind of just weird and nonsensical. regardless, the idea was the communicate this feeling of trying to run as far away as you can from the bad spaces you’ve been in, reveling in the excitement and safety of being able to figure out who you are. i had always felt isolation in the waking world for my interests, so online friendships and communities helped me to find that space to rush to.'
