Love this demo! You had me at 'metroidvania!' The pixelated style, artistic backgrounds and platforms, the whimsical characters, the music and sound effects are well constructed. I enjoyed the movement and the the platforms style. I managed to acquire a lightning bolt and visited the elevator area, although I could not continue. I found a dark area with secret platforms. Eventually, I was brought back to the beginning. I enjoyed this very much, and I would love to play the full version whenever you post it. Cheers! ;)

controls are z to jump arrow keys to move and up to interact
(update) controls are improved! now you can turn around midair, get better acceleration, and have a less floaty jump!

so it my first time playing I accidentally made a mistake and it took me to this weird "level" thing witch was really hard so I died ;-;
a good demo though I will play the full version when it comes out!

Looks like it wasn’t telegraphed enough but that is the first level and you’re supposed to fall into the pit :(
controls are a little too airy, the jump is quite high. cute, but really needs adjustment in the controls before the final. also, echoing another review, there was not an indicator of how to start the game at all, but i figured it out pretty quickly. has potential but needs extra work to meet it!

in my opinion, please make it more clear on how to start a game. i found it very confusing and it took me 10 minutes, and even still i'm confused on how to start a game up
