Pengu Survives Christmas is an arcade/highscore game based on Pengu Saves Christmas by STANNco
Survive for as long as possible while dodging various obstacles and collecting yummy Christmas treats.
- You'll have three rounds to survive as long as possible
- Each second survived is a point
- Each Christmas treat eaten is a multiplier
Controls
A/LEFT and D/RIGHT let you move 'Left' and 'Right' respectively
Space allows you to jump! Hold Space to jump higher
S/DOWN allows you to slide. Sliding greatly increases your speed, but decreases your jump height (S/DOWN also allows you to fall faster when in the air)
Enter lets you play the game. This key can also be pressed to skip the intro logo, loading screens, and end-game score counters
Tilde allows you to wipe your best and worst scores on the main menu. This is useful if you've achieved a highscore that's too difficult for you to beat

Hmm, not too shabby! It's a bit of a shallow game and its appeal doesn't last that long, but it was nevertheless a fun little arcade game that I had a decent time with!
I especially loved the way the various obstacles would telegraph their entrance: made every death feel fair and avoided the cheapness of getting hit when near a wall. The variety of obstacles were nice as well and the way they increased in frequency made the game exciting. I also loved the little touches like the way the score counters spin up at the end screen, and the way Pengu's expression changes to disappointment if you don't get a new high score, haha!
If I were to give any complaints, I'd love if the game would have some sort of ranking/grading system to make me more inclined to play again for a better score: just staring at Pengu's blank face when I worked hard for a good score makes me feel like there's nothing else to go for. Also, there were a few oddities like a time where I heard a fish chomping but didn't see him on-screen (maybe the spawning coordinates put him off-screen?)

Well this was pretty fun I like the Pengu character somewhat hard but also easy a simple and fun dodge game here, This comes out well and it was a good pleasure here today There didnt seem to be alot of cluttered or unnecessarily placed items but overall this is good.
