I tried this game after your second one. I think this one actually has more potential because the health is represented in a visually more appealing way. The combat feels a lot faster (though still a bit slow). My biggest issue deals with the controls. Rather than having people spam click, the gun should have a short cool-down while doing more damage or just be full auto with a held click. Also I think having the sword, gun, and dash on the right hand of the keyboard rather than split between mouse and key would be more appealing. Having an attack be mouse when there isn't aiming feels a bit odd.
