I made this to both train and test myself on how well I could draw mark v Chief. I was looking at the original Lee Wilson Halo CE story boards and I got inspired to make an animation that somewhat resembled that style.

As a side tangent, I really like the style in which those boards were drawn. They do a really good job at capturing the designs of the characters and universe, while putting its own unique spin on them. They also did a really good job at being minimalistic when needed, but still staying true to the original designs. Like if chief needed to be drawn with less detail, Wilson would nail still capturing the general shape and size of him. Things still looked right even when they were drawn much more simplistically, and I think that's one of the hardest things to get right when drawing. Like I probably went a little overboard in some parts with how much detail really needed to be drawn, but I tried to be minimalistic when appropriate.
