This is very cool and it looks very good. I can tell a lot of work and detail went into the artwork of the game. And it is a fairly hard (until you figure out good strategy) turn-based RPG.
It's of course not entirely finished or a preview, at least in that I never got to a point where you could item-craft and the random items you are awarded in-game seem to have no way to use them, unless I'm mistaken. This is fine because you don't need them to beat the game, but can be a little confusing as to why it's there at all if you can't use them.
One small gripe is the "skip" button should actually skip the entire cutscenes and straight into the action battles. Instead it does no different than had you pressed spacebar one time. So once you've seen the story, you'll just have to spam that spacebar on subsequent playthroughs.
For people having troubles with the medals in this one, first beat the game on your chosen difficulty, watch the ending let it get back to the title screen. Then reload the page in your browser and when it reloads, it should then give you your missing medals. Otherwise you won't get medals.
The story is well put together, and the characters are relatable and multi-dimensional.
So, if we had maxed out our summoning, could the summoning circle work? (like even just successfully summoning pheobe for a second then she says something like "help" as her body transforms into the failed summon.)
Well made spinoff demo. All fights can be completed on difficult with the basic skillsets given some basic planning. The extra class system does a decent job, making me curious about the final project.
Story and themes where pretty good, and am glad the romance aspect where kept pretty mild.
Only gripe I have is that its gonna be hard to up the stakes in the final project with students already having faced a revenant, then a teacher banishing a mass of evil spirits with no effort at all.
(Re: Must pact it Nao XD)
I'm glad you enjoyed the battles - a lot of people struggle with them, but I intentionally designed them to be possible on hard regardless of what classes you take (with certain classes just making them a lot easier).
Don't worry about upping the stakes - the antagonist in the main game is the Fae who nearly wiped out humanity XD.
