A simple arcade game with you the player and perhaps a friend are faced with destroying oncoming asteroids and other enemies in order to receive points with only a limited amount of ammo. How long can you survive?

There are also two events like things that can happen during a run and a few hidden Easter eggs.


Player 1 - Arrow Keys

left/right - is used move the player as well as operate the main cannon.

Up - is used to pick up ammo as well as shoot the main cannon.

Down - is used to enter and exit the UFO.

Player 2 - WASD

A/D - is used move the player as well as operate the main cannon.

W - is used to pick up ammo as well as shoot the main cannon.

S - is used to enter and exit the UFO.

Final Words and other Notes

This was my first ever Game Jam and in a way my first ever completed game, so sorry if its rough around the edges. Sadly, I won't be able to add more because the Game Jam ended, and the free html5 license for Game Maker Studio 2 has been removed. So for now this will be the final update, but after seeing all your responses to my game I may one day come back and fix a bunch of things, also adding more in the process. But for now I will move on to different projects, mainly just learning actual coding languages rather than just blocks. More info about my game as well as the Game Jam can be found on my itch page. If you have time, you can even vote for the finale game to be chosen for the Opera GX no internet game jam.

I love the style, the sound, and even how the game becomes an instantaneous warzone, but one thing that could be improved would be giving the player an actual goal. I wish you luck with this project in the future.

Thanks glad you enjoyed it I do like the idea of having a goal although at the moment I'm not quite sure what that would look like.

This is surprisingly addicting! Simple controls + volatile environment makes it very nice to play. My only criticism is that it's a bit hard to read the ammo on the ground. You could probably change it to a shade of green to make it easier to read and pick up, but other than that, this is a pretty fun game!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I agree that I should have made the grounded bullets easier to see, and I did try to implement something like a animated sprite change, but I found it didn't look to good. I feel you may have been right with just changing the color when it's grounded.

it's ok but you really should be able to shoot at 0 angle, the jumping aliens are really annoying since you can't. bullet speed could go up just a tiny bit.

Thanks for your response I agree I should have made the cannon be able to shoot lower.
