After a freak accident following a slightly bad decision, Hunter gets sent to the wrong afterlife. He's been an otherwise kind soul for most of his life, so even the devil is a bit confused. How did this guy wind up in a place like this?

Special Kinda Hell is a short animatic I created in less than two weeks for my theatre class. This is by no means a thesis film or my magnum opus, it's simply something I wanted to create for a bit and finally got the opportunity to create.

I came up with this idea during my senior year of high school, imagining it as an animated musical tragicomedy. There is definitely more developed to this story than what's showcased in this short animatic, but I don't have the time or resources to allocate for making such a piece at the moment. I didn't back then either, and I originally permanently scrapped this project for such a reason. Though when the call came in class to do a creative theatre project, I decided to dust this idea off as it still had some merit to it given the assignment.

There have been two other cuts of this that I edited for that class (though they will probably never be shown to the public), but this was (and still is) my original vision for the story. After that class ended, I re-edited and cleaned up the video a bit to create this version, so I guess it's considered a director's cut.
