The destruction of the Lezaru research vessel has left your people with a deficit of essential mineral ores, and you've been sent to gather more. We're all counting on you Ensign Wilco!
This was a small little game made for Godot Wild Jam #36, with the theme "Uncontrollable Growth."
This was my first attempt at working with multiple scenes and customizable options among other things.
As a Sega fan, I also went with a Sega Mega Drive screen resolution and used only the Sega Master System color palette (minus the space background, which was generated using the Pixel Space Background Generator by Deep-Fold on Itch.io)
With more development time, it would've been cool to add different sized asteroids that break into smaller ones, and some enemy spacecraft, but I'm pretty satisfied with this given the time constraints. Please let me know if you have any problems or experience any bugs while playing. Godspeed!
EDIT: One user alerted me to the fact that there were some problems with the medals. I edited the code and medals now seem to be working normally, but scores may not be posted correctly. I'm currently working on correcting the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Nice Shooter
Here was a nice shooter you have here I like the colorful ship and astroids seemed to run well on the controls too, keeping the creativity alive so keep making games with that majic and creativity, the shooter as a space shooter and a lil story in there was nice, the medals are nice and seems pretty soild as a game, so for me this was really nice and a fun space shooter

It's a good small game that could be easily expanded by adding more missions, maybe enemies and something to spend credits on. 2 notes on the medals though:
1. "Evacuate" doesn't work at all;
2. "Malfunction" works only if you crash your ship after the black hole appears.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll take a look at the code and see where I messed up.
EDIT: I made a few changes and I was able to unlock the medals as intended, so it appears to be working now. Sorry about that!
