Beyond the Fog: Episode 5 - Seasoned Folks

Share Collapse

Plenty of trials for our rising warriors have to be completed, and some more further down the road. With the clocks ticking, and Abyss' plan closing in, how will time change Sen, Valerie, and everyone else?

This sure was a rough one post-production-wise, but I got this one done! I'm already hitting the ground with the next two episodes, and I'm working to not have such a huge delay with post. Hope you folks enjoy, and there's more to come!

This episode is kinda where we come full circle and it might be my favorite. Watching this episode and episode 3 back to back is an interesting experience, seeing how the characters evolved without having seen all the steps of their transformation leaves a lot to the imagination, but in a good way. The animation and sound improved a lot as well, there's nothing I would change.

YOOOOOO NICE SHIT NINE! KEEP IT UP!

I'm so excited! I hope the next episode will be release much sooner.

This is inspiring :0

Hey dude! Saw you were looking for critique for this one so I tried my best to keep an eye out, though it was an overall great animation!

Some of the distant character animation looked a bit janky, such as the first running animation. The montage felt too quick; I feel like the montage sequence would benefit from showing a sample of each character within the 10 year gap shown, that way it shows progress over time but in a summarised format.

The lighting, backgrounds and effects are standouts for me, they all just come together and set the stage perfectly. Character close-ups also looking good!!

9Hammer responds:

Thank you! In hindsight, that's good that you mentioned that about some of the animation jank. Definitely will be a bit more mindful about how that's presented. I also appreciate the compliments too!
