I made this back in early 2000's using Macromedia Flash (yes, it wasn't Adobe back then).

Now it is uploaded on Newgrounds as a movie file.

The techniques used in this movie are not as impressive with the advent of animation software, back in this old version of Flash there were no filters to create a blur effect. To achieve that I tooled the images in outside software and imported the image files into the Flash library where each frame was sequenced in order to get the effect of a blur in/out.

Many of the images in this animation were hand-drawn in traditional media (a paper stock and pencil/ink) and then scanned to image files for any digital editing before import. This was a lot more care and work put into each of the images than the average Newgrounds movie of the time where tweened circle tool symbols were common place.

The backstory of this is another NG user with a huge ego said I couldn't make a movie on my own that could win an award (due to my success in establishing collabs on NGs), so I made this in three days time and submitted it and got daily top 5, showing him up.
