Not bad. Once you get the hang of working the balloons, gets pretty challenging up near 300m.

it's a decent little time waster, i think
originally made in 48 hours for the GMTK game jam, with some additional updates afterward
if you beat my record just post a screenshot in the comments or something and i'll add a marker in game
patch notes:
2.1 - (6/26/2021)
- added floating islands
- added gold hearts that boost max health (regular hearts no longer do that)
- your personal best is now saved
- added pausing (press ESC or P)
- added fall damage
- made the intro skippable
- snipers now have a red sightline
- shadow flyers now have 5 health instead of 6
- updated dev record (it's a lot higher)
2.0 - (6/24/2021)
- added ground tileset
- added cave background
- added parallax background
- added hearts
- remade tutorial area to get to the flying faster
- fixed framerate randomly tanking at higher elevations
- tweaked the enemy spawning so it gets tougher much earlier
- enemies will now start moving toward you if they see your bullets
- balloons now break off if you are too far away from them
- added some misc. effects
- changed balloon physics a tad

what browser are you using?
i've played a bunch in chrome, edge, and in engine but i haven't encountered this bug (it's not tied to reaching the dev record, that was just a coincidence). either it's some browser specific weirdness or extremely rare
I Like How You Can Pop The Balloons You Spawn. 5/5 Stars
It's promising! I think my biggest complaints are that the balloons are pretty finnicky and that there isn't much in the sky (why have movement controls when you're practically never going to use them?)

if you limit yourself to only 2 or 3 balloons you can wiggle around a bit
