Click to rotate pieces. When a piece has all its pipe connected to others,

it pops and activates its effect.

Reach the target score to beat the level.

***********After seeing your response, I've gone back and played this game again. And revised these comments. ***********

Sure enough what was happening was that since I'm allowed to make moves while a cascade is happening, I was just making a bunch of moves all at once, and didn't even notice the red numbers. I thought the sound was something from the cascade. Now that I slow down and make 1 move at a time and let the cascade settle, I am noticing them more. I'm now seeing the bonus levels where I can get items and more special pieces.

I'd recommend 2 things, the first is an optional tutorial level that introduces us to all the different pieces and tells us what they do, OR, when we see a new piece for the first time on the board, the game pauses, highlights the new pieces and does a quick description of what it does and how it works. Since you've got a really unique game mechanic, we could use a bit of help the first time around.

Revising my comments, I would say that red letters on the silver pegs just doesn't stand out enough. They are still pretty easy to miss especially once a cascade start. The black letters on silver are much easier to read, but the red are harder to see and easy to lose with all the other visual effects going on with the game board. Maybe those pieces aren't just silver with timers, maybe they are look different than just normal pegs so it'll be easier to keep an eye on them.

I am still having an issue where if I make my last move and it starts a cascade, I fail the level even though I can still watch the score counter bump up beyond the minimum required score. This is particularly frustrating on some of the bonus levels where I have super limited moves, fail the level, but sit there and watch my last 2 pieces fall into place and push myself over the score limit.

I like the different colors have different interactions, the black pieces can quickly stack and cascade with 1 or both pieces pointing off board or to another black piece quickly making entire parts of the board useless. This is mainly an issue on level 2, once we start getting other board moving pieces, they become less of an issue.

Clarify left click is counterclockwise, right click is clockwise, you need to know this to be able to feasibly deal with the bombs on level 2 and beyond.

The difficulty ramps up pretty quick. Some of the levels are very hard to beat without having a few bonus pieces.

Nice little game, very challenging.

wormius responds:

First off all, thanks for your feedback.
Secondly, none of the things you mentioned are bugs.
The rule is: Whenever a piece has all it's pipes connected, it pops.
Fairly simple I would think. Maybe I could write that down but players don't read.

If you wasted all your moves then you wasted them. That's just the game.
I have never seen or heard of anyone selecting a level and going to the first level instead. I just don't know what are you talking about.

The pieces that have numbers counting down as you move, and become red when low, and make an alert sound, those pieces make you lose if you move while they show 0.

Anyway, thank you so much for playing and commenting

UI could be better, but I love it. Spent more time then I care to say playing lol

wormius responds:

Happy to waste your time :P

A nice tricky and fun puzzle. Absurdly fun to rack up big combos.

wormius responds:

Happy to hear. Thank you.
