I can get as far as the character info screen after pressing play, but then the buttons don't work.

This is a click to move game. Press ESC to pause. Clicking to a certain area of the map will show you the distance, however your character can only move a certain amount before you have to click again.
Once again, I take no credit for the sprites as they were created by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo.

Yooo, Just minor UI errors and better readability and this will be pretty solid
