Calm Sea it's a game, that I made during the one week polish Game Jam - #ZostanWDomuRobGry. We play as sailor who is in terrible storm. We must patch holes that appear in our ship in order to not sink.

Fun, addictive game. Obviously, it was made in a short time, so much criticism doesn't apply but, if there was one thing you could improve on, I'd agree that the game would be better separated into levels, with an optional "survival mode." What bothered me the most was that success at the game seems to depend on what sort of board you get. The first time I played, the platforms were compacted, and I managed around 15K points. The next couple attempts I had the same board several times in a row, in which the platforms were more spread out and I couldn't manage 10K. Finally, I got an easy compacted board, and managed 28K. It's good that the boards have a certain randomness, because it adds replay value, but I think the issue could be solved by arranging the game into progressively difficult levels, and having a randomized survival mode.

I think it's great idea! I definitely must implement it int the future.

I love it and it's fun too you'll probably see me playing this when I'm bored or really anytime its fun to try and beat your last high score. Edit: it could use a fix and crouch animation though

FixelDev responds:

Thanks! I appreciate it!

I see a lot of potential here! I see a successful mobile game.
I managed to do 27200 points, it's a hard but not frustrating game, kinda like the main goal. I think some improvements would be good: 1- the character could be heavier so we can move faster between platforms. 2- levels would be good, until 30 seconds the game was easy then "boom", we hit the iceberg. With levels, increase the difficulty as we advance and more goals the game will be more fun. 3- think about put some holes outside the platform, maybe it will be cooler.
I liked the way the holes grow bigger as time goes on but there's a lack of buckets.
For the mobile: customization, levels, two players online game, nice 8bit soundtrack. Why not?
Cheerz!

FixelDev responds:

Thank you for opinion! I'll definitely think about your suggestions.

That was so fun to play. So simply and clever The jumping was a little difficult but I got used to it after a while. Great game, great effort, must have been a lot of work.

Thanks!
