Are you building up to a bigger project then letting on? 'Cause if you are I would whole heartedly go all the way the once and then before you are done, watch everything from start to finish, to see what needs polishing and you can choose along the way wether you need to add more plot or cut some out. Once you have everything recorded it's way less time consuming to edit and patch up anything you need to fill-in in order to close plot holes, ased on how you want the story to go. Trust me i know it sounds like lot of work, because it is, but once you do this, you will forever see how to make new ones in half the time you made the first one. :)
This is not that good, but I know you can make cool movies with stop motion.
All you need is to practice.

Sadly this techinque is slowly dying...
Making things in 3D is way easier, and I do 3D movies myself... But I would love to see more real stopmotion clips around!
