Made for the Ludum Dare 42: Running out of space
( /!\ this is the original jam submission)

In this game you will play as a white cell and try to eradicate some threats from different organs.
You will need to seek & destroy without dying.

It is a pretty generic style game but we had a lot of fun making it and of course I hope you will get to let us know what things you do like or not. Critics are welcome :)

Some important informations:
- Toxic waste slows you
- eating bacteria slows you
- you can get stuck if you pass too much time playing (purposely)
- In order to kill a bacteria with your antibodies (left-click) you need to eat it before
- If you are stuck because you are too big, you can hit SPACE to loose some toxic waste (emergency only)

controls:
WASD (or arrows) - move
left-click - Launching antibodies

Very fun game!

Two minor inconveniences though, sometimes the controls were a bit sticky (as the others have said), but this only happened a couple times and I think on just one particular level so not THAT bad tbh. The other thing is that it is a bit of a shame that the viruses/bacteria seem to already start multiplying before you click start, giving you no time to read the text. If you fix those two things I'll give this 5*s ;)

punknower responds:

Thank you for your kind message, that is very helpful.
We looked for the sticky controls on several machines in several browsers, we didn't find any issue except that it can happen when you enter in contact with toxic waste or bacteria. We will continue to try and see if we can find something.

When you start a level, you can see bacteria moving, but they will not multiply until you presse start. We didn't have time to block the movement simulation but you can have as long as you want to read the text. Sorry for that inconvenience.
We would like to make it better but the ludum dare challenge is over, we will see if it needs more expanding if it gets popular, we never know :)
Thank you !

Great Concept, but the controls were AWFUL. Half the time I moved in a direction, I couldn't stop moving in that direction until I had jammed the key 3 or 4 more times. If it happened all the time, I could live with it as a quirk of the game, but it seemed unpredictable when it would happen.

punknower responds:

Thank you for your review, I will look into it. And sorry for the bad experience you encountered. We tried as much as I can to make it bug free. Few are missing but the deadline of the LD made it difficult to solve them on time.

For the directions stuck, we didn't find any issue on several tests. Can you be more specific on what cause the bug? Thank you very much.

I have a few points to say. One, the controls can be sticky at times; Two, for the lungs part, what do you mean by priority; Three, please tell me which bacteria should I do first for the lungs; and Four, please debug your game.

punknower responds:

Thank you for your points. I will look into it and check into the debug.
For the sticky movement, when you enter into collisions with bacteria and toxic waste it purposely slows you.
For the lung part, some bacteria spread faster than others, you need to find those first (it is part of the difficulty) I cannot tell you here which one, it would spoil the gameplay for the other, sorry.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your message.
