This does start off slow but it progresses better as you play along and really make for a nice game but overall this was pretty good and I liked it

Controls: W,A,D or Arrow keys to move.
Press space bar to open chest if you have 3 or more banishment points.

Very clunky and slow. It's a difficult task just jumping over the basic spikes and the momentum mechanic where the character speeds up is not very well thought out and gets very annoying very fast because you don't have a lot of space to speed up and even maximum speed is still very slow. I also had no idea I could double jump so I couldn't get anywhere. The amount of HP you have is also very unusual for a hop and bop platformer. The hit boxes on the enemies are also weird and you can't jump on their heads without taking damage. Also, you should add a possibility to skip the beginning cutscene or at least don't force the player to watch it everytime they die. On the plus side, the graphics are okay and there's music. I think if it was polished a bit more and the mechanics and gameplay was cleaned up, it could be a decent game.
