IDK, maybe game development isn't a good hobby for you guys, maybe you should try bug collecting, I hear that is fun!
On this game, you wander around the field and, using the arsenal that is falling from the sky, you will have to defeat the enemies that are chasing you. Choose your favorite weapon, upgrade it, and stay alive as much as you can!
ABOUT:
' I Don't Want to Die! ' is a concept that turned into a complete game made by one of our teammates at the beginning of the Spring 2018 semester at the Academy of Art, for a Prototype Game Development class. We are a group of 3 students, 2 Game Designers and 1 Modeler; we teamed up and communicate to create in 5 weeks part of what we are showing here. Based on feedback provided by students after an internal and an external playtest, we modified the project based on found bugs, suggestions made by testers, and adding/ improving what they most liked about our game.
---------
v1.4 Changes:
*Visual and post-processing Improvements.
*Level Design modified. New elements added.

Hey man, would you like to give us a second round? Feel free to play the new version and let us know!
Plays pretty well aside from one or two points where there is some lag. The flickering of lights somewhere in the middle of the game is a little weird, not sure if that is supposed to represent the flickering of light from the campfire or just a glitch. It would also be cool to add grenades to the game. Great job!
We just updated our game to a newer and improved version! Check it out! The Grenades sounds like a good idea, we will look into that.
Some of the issues were fixed, hope you enjoy it!
For some reason the game crashed for me midway trough, without apparent reason.
There is a seed here for what could be a good game. The lighting effects are quite nice, the art style could work with some more polish. Generally the 3D shapes in the world are rather nice.
However I have some pointers to keep in mind for future games:
- first off the game is cut off on the edges here in Newgrounds - test your game before you publish it!! Not sure what's causing this
- the game could have been quite atmospheric with some sound
- there is no reason NOT to fire - adding a reload delay and optionally ammo could lead to some tense situations of the zombies storming towards you while reloading
- consider providing some variety in the level design - maybe there are some more open, safe spaces and some tighter, dangerous ones where there is a higher chance of loot - currently it doesn't really matter where you stand in the level, you just need to aim and move a bit, so there is really no reason to explore the gameworld
Hope this is somewhat helpful! Keep at it :)

Thank you for your previous feedback, it helped us through the development. You will noticed some of your feedback has been taken in consideration!
