The controls are just way too slippery and floating. Very frustrating to control the character. Not to mention the forward momentum and speed isn't very predictable. You need to playtest the controls more with perhaps your family and friends.

not the worst I've seen, but the movement controls are way too unresponsive and weighty. it feels like I'm in control of a freightliner.
they need to be way more crisp, the game is labeled "hard" but with controls like these the difficulty is not really challenging the player, just horrid controls.

I understand your statement but I disagree. The game control is part of the challenge. Imagine how easy Resident Evil 4 would be if we use CS:GO controls, or how would be impossible to play Dark Souls with Skyrim's controls.
Of course you can dislike the controls, but I believe that it's one of the fundalmentals challenges in every game.
