good game but it needs archivements
It is good but i would like some achievements on the game like (Draw a dinosaur) or (Draw yourself) ecc..
So... You tied a calligraphy pen to the WASD keys? Cute, but if I wanted to play with a crappy calligraphy pen, then MS Paint has me covered. And Paint even has mouse support. So lemme boil down my review to the essential points.
- The UI is weak/nonexistent. Maybe incorporate the help as a button or something?
- The controls are non-intuitive. Up/Down for zoom? Maybe modify the controls for the end user.
- The applet is very sparse. Without much content, it will quickly be put down and people will move on. Maybe you can add other pen styles? Maybe you can turn it into a puzzle game? The choice is yours, but it's still an infant game.
Anyways, that was my brutal bashing. All in all, it's not a bad game, it's just still an infant. Raise it up and it could become something better. The mechanics of the cursor especially interest me. What is it, some sort of acceleration/friction system? I recall making something similar once in TI-Basic. Of all the aspects of this game, I think this is the one you should focus the most on. It really does have the potential for a clever puzzle game, if you can build it right.
Anyways, happy hacking!
Yeye it's pretty much a little prototype at this point. I only spent the past few days getting it stable and feeling nice.
I still have some ideas that I might wanna use with this system that are pretty much nothing like this drawing game other than the movement stuff.
Thanks for the review!
we want colours!
Other than that, I love the concept and music. Real serious, I will need to test drive that thing better once I get my PC back.
sure, ill add some color selection with the next update tomorrow
