Game doesn't seem to be able to read my up arrow key, rendering it virtually unplayable.

SpaceTrucker2000 responds:

sorry about that. that seems pretty random, all arrows keys should be treated equally. does it only happen with this game? what's your system, browser? is it a laptop? do you have a numeric pad, does its up key work (with numlock off)? did you try another browser, another keyboard? note you can play with a gamepad too.

I am amazed with how well this recreates the classic Pac-Man with a whole new classic appearance. The graphics and sound are amazing and the gameplay is very fun. I enjoy the level design as well. The reason I did not give this game any more than four stars, though is that it was not exactly clear to me what I was supposed to do at first but you would figure it out after playing for some time. Nice job!

SpaceTrucker2000 responds:

yes, the main menu is some kind of puzzle in itself :)
thanks for the nice words!

At first I didn't understand the game modes... but once I figured it out, I really liked the game. I'm still a bit uncertain when the power pellets come out... and it is kind of awkward on the first level that the blue ghost is shitting out the pellets you have to eat... but as a person that has spent a small fortune on Pac Man, I enjoyed this version. Great job.

SpaceTrucker2000 responds:

lol, not sure where the pellets come from. may be they're monster eggs or maybe they're formed by their little pixel hands :) in classic pac-man you always start by gobbling up as much pellets as you can while the ghosts are still away. I never really liked that part anyway (so even in standard mode the 4 ghosts are there from the get go, unlike the original pac-man) but it's especially not fun when they're waiting for you to move, since the pressure is gone. with this trick, you feel compelled to go at them from the start.

a power pellet is a standard pellet laid on your home. you can try to lure the blue ghost nearby to get a new one (or the orange one as he moves pellets around)

thanks for your comment!
