First person endless runner. Nice concept for a game, could use some polish though.
Frustrations:
Movement (left to right and back) is too slow
Landing after a jump is too slow
Can't see far enough
Only one life to live
Ideas:
Add lives
Make movement faster
Another idea: Instead of analog movement left to right, make it so there are 3 "lanes" and A/D movement will snap to a lane.
Increase the view distance (decrease the distance-cue fog). If you want to use view distance as a difficulty, start with it high and then slowly decrease as the game progresses. You could make up some story about the player having a torch that is slowly burning out, or whatever.
Instead of solid brick walls, make the game start with walls of bars, so the player can see past them to what is coming up next. As the game progresses, start introducing solid walls more and more often to increase difficulty.
Add monsters and give the player a weapon to swing. Maybe the player can find a range weapon with limited ammo as a power-up. You can make standing and flying monsters, the flying ones the player has to jump to hit.
