Reaching the goal doesn't seem to hard but the game itself is notbad could use morr features and options anyways a good lil game here

~X~

I'm not entirely sure what to think about this game and how it would appeal to a player. It's sort of like a sokoban but with a goal of just reaching an exit, which is not a challenge at all in any of the levels so not fun purely as a puzzler. It also sort of has aspects of an art game, but what's the artistic message? There's a guy trapped in a puzzle who thinks he can get out but he really can't... maybe if it were extended to IRL in some transcendental way of making people reflect on how their own lives are a futile attempt to achieve an impossible goal, or can be perceived as such unless they realize what's really important in life, or some other such philosophical drivel that makes people feel like they have a deeper understanding of things then I could appreciate it as an art game. Overall, I agree with Ewelupp, Thegamingtrickster, and Mekka23 -- it could benefit from harder puzzles (even if you're going for more of an art game), a more gripping storyline and message (even if you turn it into a more challenging puzzler), and the best graphics / music / sounds you can muster.

This was interesting, wish the puzzles were a lot harder and the art style itself took a little bit to accept.
Otherwise, good idea.

It was too easy but nice. I liked that there was a twist although i feel like you could have gone with something other than -it was all a dream-

LegacyGaming responds:

Yes, thank you for your feedback. As a game programmer I felt like I could've done more story wise than quickly hook the player (Somewhat) and then just pull back abruptly. The difficulty also was something that I ended up not focusing on so I will attend to that wisely. Once again thank you for your rating and suggestions!

Sorry. The art style, while unique, does not help the story proceed. The lack of sound except when blocks are moved, makes it hard to get into. The lack of any difficulty to the puzzles and continues jolting stops make this very hard to enjoy. Maybe add music, some fun puzzles and a more intact sprite and it may actually be fun. Again, sorry.

LegacyGaming responds:

Oh no it's okay, Thank you so much for the feedback. This was an entry to a small game jam. My first game jam actually. I just wanted to test the waters with my game development skills, I also wanted a platform to document my progress throughout my journey as a new game dev. So I thank you for your feedback. In fact I was thinking exactly what you said. As it was a game jam with the requirement 10 rooms I didn't really think story as I did mechanics. There is so much more I want to do that I was critiquing myself over. I thank you for your feedback. I will post-develop this and if I may ask you to playtest for me once I have a new build would you be able to do so? You don't have to. But I'd like to improve on my first project (I really just started small was all)
