So true. You honestley just don't have the will to do anything when you have depression. It just sucks because you're constantly drowning in your mind.

Fantastic first submission! I like the concept. Like crackerjack30, I like the sudden contrast of the light intro to the animation. It inspires me to break the ice and submit something as well -- that I can submit something relatively short and simple to create something thoughtful and entertaining.
If I had to offer criticism, I would suggest that maybe a breath or two or a hand twitch or so to add a bit more life into the character? The character's body is in the center of the screen, and I kept waiting for it to move a tiny bit more. The blinks were good, but they were confined to his head. Great job with the turn, but I think it would have helped the viewer get sucked more into the character's feelings if you could feel the effort that it must take for him to breathe, or the absolute heaviness of his arms on his bosom. But maybe you kept it still on purpose to create more tension for the viewers.
But other than that, it all felt very crisp -- the timing, the sync of the animation, and the art style all came together very well. I can still feel the apathy of the buzzing unanswered phone. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Like looking into a mirror

Almost painful to watch since it is so true. Mean (but good) idea to start the animation with a happy tune before you drop the sad reality on the viewer in all its slowness.
A thought-out and mature submission.

I get what you were going for with "not much going on" because... well, it's depression. But then again the little that does happen isn't well animated or drawn and the same still we're treated to in the entire duration is pretty poorly made. Overall it just feels like you chose this topic because you wouldn't have to do much or put a lot of effort into it.

MariusMan responds:

Yeah, I did choose this particular subject because it wasn't that complicated to produce, but that doesn't mean this was the most I could put into it. It was the most I wanted to put into it. You should know that this just doesn't just exist because it was easy to make. That is maybe 25% of the reason. The main reason was that there's not much going on, in general. Plus, this is my first "real" animation ever, so I chose an appropriate subject.
