Update: thanks for all the positive feedback! So far this is my highest rated game.
It's been 2 days since my father died.
The evening news said it was an accident, but I know.
I will have my revenge.
LUCARIO VS THE WORLD
The fourth game by 2Mickennxtre68.

The soundtrack was done entirely by me, except for the last level and the ending theme. The last stage theme is "Journey" by Karrots, and the ending theme is from Sonic Pocket Adventure.

This is a 1-2 player platformer with 7 levels and lots of cutscenes and fancy art. The art itself is by far my favorite part of the game, but I think the experimental soundtrack and gameplay are pretty fun too!

Critique wanted.

(Some minor violence and fanservice in the cutscenes.)

This ending better be worth it because this final boss is basically impossible.

Lol I'd say it is? It's pretty edgy and I made it

this game is literally terrible
bad things:
-lucario is really slippy when moving anywhere
-the mushrooms at the 1 level have huge hitboxes
-the crouch system sucks
-the moving rocks are the worst part of the game, when you dont move they move you and dead
good things:
-songs are nice
-the controls are actually nice
i give this game half 1/10 stay away from my family

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like the music and controls.

The intro looked very promising so when I started the first level I was in for a disappointment. It’s a simple and repetitive platformer with terrible hitboxes. The backgrounds were probably the best part of the levels, my favorites were the one on the last level and the one with the skyscrapers and my least favorite was the 2nd (water?) level. The dizzying part was just awful, might as well add a seizure warning, at least it was easy so I didn’t have to look at it. During a mid cutscene, it took me some time to figure out I had to click on the letters to proceed, since I got no instructions and the intro before had played on its own.
The music was okay, can't say I liked or disliked it. There is only one type of enemies (I have no idea what those things are) that will kill you on one hit as soon as you get close to them. It was really frustrating to go through a level and suddenly get sent back to the beginning when I could clearly see some distance between Lucario and the enemy. It makes him look like a real wimp made of glass.
I almost gave up on the final stage, it felt very slow and cheap. Then I get a cutscene saying Lucario killed the guy… except he didn’t! He was moving away just a second ago. Now, I don’t expect you to make your game as I would, but you can’t hype some guy as a final boss and then kill him off screen. This is a game and it’s supposed to be interactive. If you want Lucario to kill the dark figure then show it! And if for some reason you don’t want to, change the story so that he proves to be too strong and Lucario has to run away or something similar. Don’t make cutscenes that completely disregard gameplay.

Thanks for the feedback.

ok, so I read a lot of reviews that stated what I was going to write so I decided not to leave one, but then I decided to test 2p mode(by myself tho :'C ). Here are some things improvable about that:
*Make some way so that both players remain on screen at all times (i.e. screen splits when far apart, like "A World of Keflings", or both players remain on screen and cant be seperated, such as in "Baulder's Gate")
*Possibly make different cutscenes for 2p mode vs. 1p mode
* BUG!!! Second player is erased from existence after the 2nd cutscene
*(With game altogether, not just 2p) Add some cool attacks cuz he's fricken LUCARIO!
*Maybe make 2p mode competitive or something
*Maybe allow the other player to continue after one dies
*(With game altogether, not just 2p) Might be intentional, but Lucario's air speed is like twice as fast as his land speed

Also, hope this game gets better, but for now it isn't very good. I played cuz the title sounded cooler than the other ones on the front page :3

2Mickennxtre68 responds:

Alright, thanks!

Needs some work with the platforms and the enemy layers are bigger then they appear, BUT THE MUSIC MAKES MW WANT TO DANCE LIKE DASHIE!!!

Really happy you liked the music!
