The animation was designed to be projected on a 5-piece wood polyptych.

I was waiting for this. Had one of your teaser pictures as my background. For some reason it didn't show up on my news feed, so only now I had the chance to watch. It's 2 am while I'm writing this so forgive any grammar errors or awkward phrases please.

The main 2 things I can complain about are:

-The animation. Sometimes the FPS was really low and the overall style was a bit wonky, and sometimes it was higher FPS and less wonky. Also some cycles were too obvious (around the 2 min mark for example), and some textures were missing some details/quality compared to the rest of the scene (the quote scene for example).

-The ending. I really liked the idea you were going with. A lone survivor from a vintage space trip is stranded on a deserted planet. He starts to think he is God, etc. The atmosphere is great; nothing but blue sky, white land and mysterious landmarks.
But then the woman appears. The woman was a bit too abstract imo. I just didn't know where to go with her. Was the guy imagining her? Why? Does she have connection with the main character? If so, why did she make the spaceship crash (or did she? It looked like it because of the evil eyes)? And why is the guy suddenly on a cross, aside from the obvious religion reference? I mean I get it, but it happened so fast.
It felt like the woman was a rushed way of connecting the initial thought of "Where/Who am I and what year is it?" to the final thought "Am I God? Is this real?". The whole transition could've been better I think.

But honestly, the overall thing is still pretty dope. I really like it. The style, the atmosphere, the idea. The problems I had mentioned about the animation aren't that important, and I think they'll fix themselves as you keep on animating. Same goes for the woman part.

On a side note, after thinking about this for a while, I think the woman was the main character's loved one? It just didn't come to me at the time. I was kind of expecting a small "farewell husband, as you leave for your space trip!" moment, and I was certainly not expecting those devilish eyes, which were supposed to show her demise right? At that moment, I was thinking more of "woa she probably represents the devil or whatever".

Sulup responds:

You got it right by the end. The whole animation is dealing with the last thoughts of a dying person. The woman is a loved one he left behind, and the picture of her is a memory becoming corrupted. The idea is in the end he commits suicide believing he is last to die. The woman with him is just a hallucination helping him along.
The animation is pretty bad, now that I look at it, hehe. It was among my firsts and I did it for a school project and didn't have much time. The script was a lot more detailed.

Whoa, made me think a lot for some reason. Well done.

Good job! The only suggestion I'd make is to cut the time between the initial scenes a little.

Incredibly bizarre and well done

Well that was certainly disturbing... I both did and did not like it? Take of that what you will.
