I'd like to see it be a lot faster paced, if everything is an instant kill. You know the game "Space Is Key"? That game had everything kill you, but respawns were instant, so it didn't really bother the player.
If you're gonna keep it at the pace it is, I'd recommend swapping the insta-kill out for a health bar. Maybe 5 hits to die? It's just that the jump isn't long enough to traverse some obstacles and having to restart every time is annoying as hell.
Also, music after you lose would be cool!
