A fun project I put together. Somewhere between a comic and an animation, leaning more towards being a comic

This comic was written, drawn, and animated by me. Although it is now being published here, I consider this project to still be open. I've always liked the idea of group projects. If anyone wants to submit material for this, let me know, I'll be happy to add more content to this (and give credit of course). Fan art, sprite battles, etc so long as they are relevant to the comic. When I was drawing it, I expected at multiple junctures that the characters were about to start an all out brawl. It's not what ended up happening, but still. :]

Feedback is also always welcome. I hope you all enjoy.

I LOVED ALL OF THIS, especially Dimentio! He's smooth :)

Wow! An Animated Comic Book Flash!? How Can I Do That?!

The-Cloaked-One responds:

Set the Flash document to the size of the comic. Make each page a symbol. Put one page on each frame. Have a button that puts you forward a frame each time you click it. This is not the only way to do it, but this is how I did it. :)

Interesting way of making an interactive comic, though it really would've been easier to navigate if the entire page fit on a regular 1280x1024 screen (still higher than the average resolution). I guess scrolling does give a sense of reading the comic manually, but in digital form such external interactivity just doesn't seem to have the same merit. Comic was good though!

The-Cloaked-One responds:

I could shape future comics differently. :D I thought about shrinking the comic down on completion, but I felt it did my work more justice to leave the panels as large as they were. Thanks for the feedback! ! I've got another one planned for this summer, as I said a bit ago, I might shift the panels so it's three panels across and only two rows deep to fit 1280 x 1024. I'll have to experiment to see how it looks, could work excellently.
