Lost points for originality, bad controls, and lack of mouse controls for people that prefer that in these kinds of games. I'll elaborate below:
-Not original.
-Controls are slow at times. The lack of a dedicated button for restarting is a little annoying..... especially for a game that only requires one hand to play.... I can lie back and smash blocks but if i lose I have to find my mouse to restart. minor complaint here but should be noted.
-Lack of mouse control.
-The paddle has odd physics. There were several times where the ball clearly hit the paddle but went right through because it was too far to the edge. There were a few times where the ball comes at a diagonal angle only to bounce back in that direction..... weird as hell.
+Level design is decent. If you can smooth out the issues you have yourself a fairly solid game. I like the idea of just hitting a home icon to progress to the next level rather than bouncing the ball off of walls for 5 minutes hoping to the breakout gods that it finally hits the final block.
