ATTENTION: Before leaving a review about your lost save progress or the inability to paste save codes, please read the description. If You were using the Newgrounds Player to play the game prior to the update, your save files still exist. Switching to the Newgrounds Player may also reduce or eliminate lag in some cases.

A Koopa’s Revenge 2 is a Super Mario fan game set in a parallel universe where Bowser and company are the good guys, while Mario and his pals are pure evil. After defeating Mario and his cohorts in the first game, Koopa sets off to a distant land where a kidnapped Bowser is being held by a mysterious robed figure. Play as Koopa, Goomba, or Shy Guy on your quest to free Bowser and restore justice to the Koopa Kingdom.
After a lot of tinkering I managed to get AKR2 running properly in Ruffle. So please enjoy the game embedded in the page, with full screen functionality.
This is only version 2.9 because what I would call 3.0 isn't quite done yet. There are still updates coming. I just wanted to get the Ruffle compatible version out ASAP.
IMPORTANT: As of the time of writing, Ruffle does not support copy/paste functionality. This means you will be unable to import your save file (unless you want to type them in one number at a time) so you can either run the game in the Newgrounds Player (which should preserve your old file from version 2.0 if you were previously using the NG Player. Otherwise, you can paste your code in just fine,) or manually type "giveme107" into the import text field to be granted a fully complete save file.
ALSO IMPORTANT: If you were playing the game using the Newgrounds Player and want to keep your progress, you can. Go into your Account Settings, and make sure Use Newgrounds Player for Flash is turned on, but Use Ruffle Flash emulation, if possible is turned off. If you don't have a Newgrounds account, you can make one and this should still work.
THIRD IMPORTANT: If your save file disappears when you close your browser or reboot your computer, something on your system is indiscriminately deleting temporary internet files, i.e. cookies that the game uses to save your progress. If you know what you're doing, you can change the appropriate settings in your browser and/or antivirus to prevent this. Otherwise, playing the download version of the game in either Newgrounds Player or Ruffle should allow you to retain save files.
FOURTH IMPORTANT: If the embedded version of the game lags for you, try closing other tabs (especially Chrome users with dozens of active tabs, you can bring them back by spamming Ctrl+Shift+T). If that doesn't work, I recommend using the Newgrounds player. See ALSO IMPORTANT heading for details.
And a special thanks to the Newgrounds Audio Portal community for creating all this great and available music. I don't know what I would have done without it.
