Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

I made this flash version of "Breakout" ( 1976 ) using AS3. It has 10 levels. Try to complete them all! :D ( This game is another practice that I made using AS3, to improve my skills ).

Reviews

Everything has been already pointed out in kirkdewinter's review from 2014. The author promised to fix some bugs in the game, but did not care to do it for about 4 years now. So still:
1. The ball can get stucked vertically near the left or right screen border and you cannot do anything about it;
2. You are still likely to lose a life at the very beginning of the level;
3. One oddity in comparison to breakout games: when you miss the ball it should leave the screen and you should restart with a new ball. Instead - no idea why - the ball can just get stucked below your paddle, making you lose all your lives in less than a second.

Hello! Thanks for playing! ^_^

It's been a long time since I stopped working with Flash (2014 - 2015). I'm sorry to say that I'm unabled to fix or change the game at this point, because I don't have the project files.

But, I will try to improve those aspects you've mentioned, on future projects. : )

Ball can't be bounced from left wall. Just bounce top and down again and again. This is bug.

Brick breaker games have always been really fun for me. Got all the medals and beat the game!

Congratulations! :D Thanks for the review! :)

Wow! Sounds are good, graphics too, but there are a bit weird physics (changing an angle between a ball and a bat changes speed of the ball). I've put 4,5 for the game. :D

Thanks for the review! =)

This was a bigger challenge than I thought! I expected it to be 10 levels before reading the instruction, but it took longer to get through them than I expected... a little bit because of the paddle glitching up and bouncing the ball below it, but it was still an equally fun and frustrating challenge. Didn't know Breakout was from 1976 either... interesting informational tidbit that seems to have stuck in my mind now! Controls are slick, levels varied, simple fun!
