*this game seems to work best on chrome/firefox. It does not appear to work on mac/safari (I think it's the browser that doesn't do what it needs, but it's possible firefox or chrome through mac may work, I don't have a mac to test on)*

*if it just hangs or has any other issues, let me know what version of which browser you are using please*

A simple but addicting game of jumping across buildings.

Once you click "start game" just click anywhere on the screen to jump. Every building you jump on gives you a point. Hold longer to jump higher. There's no end or goal, just try to get as high a score as you can.

The screen size is weird because it's primarily a mobile game (available for free on android).

Contains a ridiculously simple to find easter egg just for fun.

Loading ends and then just a black screen? I'm on Safari 7.0.3 (9537.75.14) for OS X.

Looks like game is made using WebGL... Well it's sad not everyone can play. If I'm right, some developers are using libraries which let WebGL games work with native HTML5's canvas engine.

My rating is only representing current average rating under game.

ljdarten responds:

Thanks for the info. I will update the description to let people know that it pretty clearly will not work on safari/mac. Do you ever use chrome or firefox? just curious if it will work through those on a mac or if I should just say it won't work on mac at all.

if you feel like it, drop me a message, or if another reviewer sees this response and knows the answer, that'd work too.

The concept can be cool but need better graphist of your cat or you can save pixel but make pixel clouds too, Corac619 said "change the music/SFX" i thing you can make better like this u_u and it's possible to change the size of Building, Long or small hight and little

ljdarten responds:

I'm already working on a whole new project that may be stealing some basic ideas from this, but it will be quite a bit more involved. thanks for the tips!

In retrospect consistent resolution of graphics would look a lot better.

The way I see it is as a prototype. Not that it's bad or anything but you need to work a little bit more.
1)Please, change the music/SFX because they are simply annoying (well, mainly the SFX)
2)Better graphics, although this isn't a must.I find it charming and to be honest, I don't care much about graphics but some people (zombies) might be put off
3)Improve the gameplay.Just get away from this flappy bird thing.I hate flappy bird and anything related to it (except flappy turd but that's a different story).Put the cat in a city and let him/her start on top of a building.Give me full control, allow me to enter buildings (or at least some of them) and maybe even add birds, mice and other critters for the cat to kill for more points. There are some many more possibilities with cats.Use your imagination.
That's all I can think of now but there's lots of room to grow. It's a lot of work and I know it but you don't need to steal other people's ideas...especially if they're bad.

ljdarten responds:

huh, I tried to keep the sfx pretty low key so they wouldn't get too annoying. If you were talking about the music, I would agree. I think it's a nice little tune but I didn't do my initial testing very long until I added a button to mute it. :)

im actually already starting on something that will be quite a bit more involved than this but using this as a base (mostly for some of the ideas, think I'm gonna redo almost all of the code). thanks for the tips!

As I said in a response below, it actually started as a clone of flappy bird. but instead of submitting it anywhere like that, I ended up modifying it to this. still has some of the same basic mechanics as you can see, but I think it's got a little bit of its' own thing going on... just maybe not enough.

Somewhat feel like angry birds, but I like how the concept seems fresh. When the cat jumps, I could feel that its body is stiff. I thinking a softer and lighter jump would make the mood a bit more comfy to play.

ljdarten responds:

I'm thinking you might have meant flappy bird? It was originally just a clone of it then I modified it to the point it is now.

I'm not quite sure what you meant by the stiffness but I'll see if I can figure it out.

Not a terrible concept, however the click response is a little off.

ljdarten responds:

Do you mean it's slow?

Is it consistently off or does it seem like it hangs sometimes?
