A 2D multi-class platformer where you explore caverns in search of treasures. Make use of the 3 playable characters to swing, swim and explode your way through the caverns, but watch out, you only have a small amount of time to get in and get your treasure!

Winner of Irelands Imagine Cup Finals, made by 2 student in a few short weeks.

Hope you have fun ;)

"Hey Newgrounds,
Myself (Joe Bentley) and Kerank (Ger stone) made this little game in a few short weeks for the Imagine Cup competition in Ireland. We got through and won the finals in our country, and are onto the Semi World Finals. We worked on the game for a few more weeks and here is the result of our work :O

Its pretty straightforward, and is Co-op based (with 360 controller), but I ported the single player to Mouse and Keyboard just for Newgrounds :)

Go to the noticeboard for new missions when you complete existing missions. Level 4 will only unlock when you find Scubanaut in the hubworld, and Level 7 will only unlock when you find DestructoNaut in the hubworld.

Controls : -------------------------

Mouse to aim

Click to swing

Hold shift and click to zip

WASD to move [Or arrows]

Space to jump

The 360 controller and Co-op version can be found on Itch.io, if your interested. Its definitely more fun with a friend, cause you can grab em with your grappling hook and drag em around, or throw em down holes. :)

Its pretty rough at the moment, but a play and feedback would be awesome "

It's good but lacks some things.

Cons:
-The music is to high strung i feel dungeon level rather than boss would fit better.
-the shift clicking gets a bit finicky about what constitutes a shift click.
-walking is to slow and the alternative swinging get overwhelming at the speed it can go
-needs maybe a second or third track to switch to at the end of dungeon level
-needs more open areas for swinging
Pros;
-the gameplay is fun swinging feels very liquid and easily adaptive to new environments and characters
-what this brings with the short development is very functional and great fun.

overall it's worth my time to finish but there are a few things that could be improved

Thanks for the review man, means a lot.

The shift clicking was one of few options we had really. not everyone has a gaming mouse, so for the most part we are limted to 2 mouse buttons (3 if you count the middle, but even then not everyone has one :O ), so we had to make a choice. The games intended to be played with a 360 controller, but in my opinion, you the the most control and accuracy with a mouse.

Walk speed is purposfully slow, to get people into the air, but as you say, we haven't really provided many areas of free swing. The original prototype had larger levels, but its harder to gauge your space when you can't see what your aiming at. Its kinda a trade off.

Again it's only a demo, a testbed for an idea we've been playing around with.

It's a fun game to play, I enjoyed swinging around everywhere instead of walking.

Seppyb63 responds:

Cheers man, We're kinda obsessed with grappling hooks. God knows why haha

Great idea, so much can be done from just one mechanic. Also love the changing characters function and the hub world and level system.

Seppyb63 responds:

Thanks man, much appreciated :)

Love the cave diving feel to it. Nice twist on some awesome swinging gameplay.
I'm a big fan of zipping over swinging but it's all relative. Very cool.
CommanderNaut's chin is god.

Seppyb63 responds:

Swinging looks better, Zipping is more effective. I for one love gaining momentum by swinging

Enjoyable game to run around in. Looking forward to the real thing! I liked all the mechanics, especially the zip!

Seppyb63 responds:

Thanks man, glad you liked it :)
