Finally! After a ridiculous non metal-slug-animating-year, I finaly managed to throw away my lazyness and finish the next installment in my Metal Slug Series. This episode is called "Metal Slug: Saving Private Jack". I put a lot of effort into this flash and I hope it is worth watching. Please vote and over all things leave a review, if you have any hints at what to do better for my next animation just tell me, my ears are open for constructive critics. Enjoy!

Nice

Well you can never go wrong with metal slug you seemed to keep things real here the animations we're nice fluid and smooth the battles were pretty good and showed some nice effects and the sprites we're pretty cool not as shiny as I would have hoped for but still pretty good I wouldn't mind more effects with the battles but for the most part it was pretty good and the story flowed well with all the scenes

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
More effects on the battle scenes

~X~

Just wanted to say good work on this animation. The gunfights somewhat stayed true to the traditional metal slug combat form which is an interesting touch. Even though it was a minor thing, I liked the fact that one guy essentially surrendered and was kept alive. Giving the "bad guys" some character is something I always liked.

Metal Slug Sprite animations were a childhood of mine, and I wish to see them revived some day. Keep on making them :D

The effort really shows in this one! Sprite work looks great, and though the action's the real highlight, the story feels pretty dynamic too. Though, that 'To be Continued' at the end flashed by pretty unexpectedly. XD

Various impressions: Nice twist on the NG logo! The dark green speech bubble background are a bit hard to read. And the background loop on the city clips in the car chase scene (maybe at the start too, if it's the same loop? Though I didn't notice it overall). Overall it's great, fluid and furious, and the dialog gives the characters some personality too. Soundtrack fits right in as well, pompous and war-like. Nice work!

Thanks for the review! And yes you cought me red handed, I used the same moving backgroud from the start at the last scene, sue me!

Hey man great animation! You did a really good job with the sprite animation. It was fluid and the transition between sprites was smooth. Also the way you incorporated the different backgrounds was nice. Keep up the good work man. Good to see people still making Metal Slug vids!

OsatoUchiha responds:

Thanks I really appreciate the feedback. And don't worry I'm not gonna stop making animations anytime soon.

It's not everday a Sprite Animation movie this fluid and badass comes along, and the fact that it's Metal Slug only makes it all the more badass, Osato I know this has been a long time in the making, I remember seeing the trailer and feeling interested. Then recently viewing the beta and being COMPLETELY blown away. The feedback I gave you wasn't just because you were a friend. But because I really believed in the movie. The Dialogue is awesome, Storyline developing and interesting and has me hooked to see where it goes, sound effects are spot on, music choices are fantastic, Overall its just the best in its department and I can't wait to see a sequel which i'm sure you plan on doing, keep up the good work !!! -MetaMike
