Art and Music are freaking awesome hahahah, i found movement a little hard to control (but well... asteroids)

Its really fun man, great job

aCardboardbox responds:

Thanks for the review! The difficult controls were intentional (regarding movement at least) to stay close to the original, which I assume was done to add more excitement into the game (like with the early Resident Evil controls). That being said, judging from other critiques, this concept of game design is not favorable nowadays. I think people want tighter controls to exercise more skill.

I tried to put in some upgrades that alter movement to mediate this, but because the player has to unlock them, I'm sure some people will never bother to use them.

Thanks again for the kind words. The feedback I'm getting is very valuable to me!

I agree 100% with PoisonHeart. The graphics are great. love the concept. But the controls are awkward. Would prefer it if space bar was special move,a/d were rotate left/right and left mouse button was shoot. The animation could take turns between left and right jab on its own.

I think the drawings are great, but my biggest problem is same as Wegra. Using the ol' 1-2 was great, but it became kind of clunky trying to use the same hand for both movement and attack. the reach on the (awesome) blasteroid dude was too short, i didn't feel like i had a fair shot at reaching the math problems.

the "true knowledge"(?) E=MC² were hard to get because i was sliding all over the place and made it too frustrating to want to work for the upgrades.

still, the art is great, i would definitely play something else in this style, i like the paper fold-out at the beginning also. a rad effect!

peace!

Wow totally didn't expect an interesting take on Asteroids. I mean I'm impressed it's got a few flaws mainly the controls but with a little tune up this could be some A+ work!

aCardboardbox responds:

Thanks, friend! Which part of the controls is most cumbersome if you don't mind me asking? I appreciate the input!
