Edit:
Seems that the game was running slowly for a lot of people so I've optimized the drawing of tiles and backgrounds. Everything should run some what faster now.

Play as a young boy who has found himself trapped in a set of chambers riddled with challenges and spikes. You must double jump your way through this difficult trial.

I developed this game in order to test a HTML5 framework that I'm working on. It's the first HTML5 game that I've ever made so expect some possible issues with sound or video. I know for sure that the game should run well on the newest versions of Firefox and Chrome.

I'll release the full source code soon on my website, split into it's individual files.

It doesn't work for me, it just kind of stops for me when the guy walks into the tent. Tried several times and waited several minutes, Chrome 32.0.1700.76 and Opera 18.0.1284.68.

Which is sad because it sounds like a good game, but yeah can't judge it based on how nice it sounds. So no stars because I have nothing to judge.

Jools64 responds:

That's really strange, I've just tested with the same version of chrome and it works. It must be the level files are not being downloaded correctly from the server or something. I'll give it a look, thanks for letting me know!

well done , but it seems to be a supermeatboy clone
i say good job!
who doesn`t like dat gameplay?
nice plattformer you made there and dat soundtrack is good ;)

Decent enough platformer, good challenge, but way too slow. I don't know if that's the game having trouble running on my laptop or if that's just the design (I don't have that problem with any other games), but there was too much waiting.

Got all the coins after a while! It'd been some time since a game put me to the test while keeping me motivated to achieve it.

Nothing beats that "you are very skilled" screen after getting all the coins at the end. The satisfaction of achieving everything in a game, in a way that it isn't a timesink but a show of skill... something sort of forgotten in games of late, yet this one has it down to an art.

This game may not be very original, but it encapsulates rather neatly what games should be about. In a world of Gone Home, Dear Esther and Beyond Two Souls... this feels reassuring. Thanks.

Jools64 responds:

The accomplishment feeling, that's really what I wanted someone to get out of it. It means a lot to hear that you went to the effort of collecting all the coins.

Thanks for the comment!

Not so good, yet not so bad..
