Not that hard, just extremely tedious. Water is nearly impossible to find outside events when travelling, ammo is useless, and only medkits matter.
The strategy is to spam search weapon/ armor early on until at least 5 while searching for medkits whenever you run out of energy to spam rest using health instead of food. Water is impossible to find and is more useful for workouts rather than resting. Spam workout as much as possible when you get water for a hp and maybe a melee increase if you're lucky. Once you're good you can spam travel since only 10 or so enemies appear in total. 5 at the beginning and 5 at the end. game is basically done at this point. felt like replaying it since I played this when I was younger.
