This abstract game game involves using a wrecking ball to block ninja stars from chopping your string. Or something like that! xD

Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare #28!

This is fixed up a bit from the compo. Lots of small bugs are fixed, it's a little bit easier, and there are medals! ;D

(Also, the main soundtrack is to the left)

- Use the arrow (or WASD) keys to direct the wrecking ball.
- Do not let stars touch the rope! You lose health.
- Run the wrecking ball into stars to destroy them.
- Collect power-ups and upgrades!

- Made it a little bit more challenging
- The timer accounts for lag
- Q toggles particles/quality

That's weird :O If this is happening consistently, definitely reach out to TomFulp about it to see if anyone can look into it! I don't think there's anything I can do about it from my end.

In any case, I will eventually port most of these games to HTML5, so it wont need the Newgrounds Player to run. That'll be really freeing for me and my games!

Is it difficult to move the...coconut?....basketball ball?...But I like it.

Thanks! Yeah it has a certain weight to it, doesn't it? I tried to give it a balance between being easy to control and having a powerful feeling. But with games that have that sort of weight, I find myself pressing the keys down way harder than I need to haha

Easy strategy to beat the game:
Choose one direction and keep pressing that arrow key with the right duration and interval to stay out of the center. Don't alternate with the other direction, because then you'll gain momentum and get too far away. Make small movements in other directions as necessary to hit threats or get powerups.
Powerups seem to remain indefinitely, so only get them when you need them.
I only got hit two or three times throughout levels 5-10 with this method.

Not a bad tactic! I imagine it might take a longer time to reach the end this way though. But I suppose it's worth the benefit of being careful.

I loved this game! Very unique concept, really had me on the edge of my seat in a panicked frenzy, fighting life and limb to survive and protect myself. I was around half my health, and there was a wave of those homing spike-balls that were centimeters away from my string, and I knew I was done for, and a torch powerup suddenly appeared, and as I struggled for it, the INSTANT before I touched it, the game was complete, and I had emerged victorious. I have enjoyed this game fully, and I also enjoyed your other game, Convey, and I look forward to playing other games by you and waiting for more games from you in the future. Keep it up, 'cause for 48 hours this is an amazing game.
