Yeah another breakout game ! sounds good the first 3 seconds. Then you die. Then you restart exactly the same game, with every tiles. Same sounds, same game. Everytime, 'cuz your pad isn't fast enough to intervene in case of emergency. Hitboxes are not what they seem to be, your ball can hit two boxes at a time and the ball curve isn't influenced by the position of the pad (or slightly).
Now I'm writing this with the sound of the first tile, everytime, and it's getting really ANNOYING.
I think the concept is good, but you can improve it, really...
right on the first level it bugged and the ball got stuck in between the paddle and the wall. i tried to move to let it fall but i couldn't move and like 1 minute later the ball finally fell.
In the first time I have play that game I just say << what an interesting concept! Not bad at all.>>
Then I miss the ball and I tried again;<< It is me or I just exatly reproduct the same action of the previous ball?>> Well, the fact is that you cannot affect the direction of the ball. That remove the difference betwen a cinematic and a game! That a scripted game.
It could be a good game if you where able to influence the ball.
The game has been done many times before, and there is nothing original about it.
The other problem being, you cannot adjust the trajectory of the ball at all... you simply have to keep it bouncing until it destroys all the blocks. in other games, depending on where on your bar you bounce it, it will adjust how it bounces. this game has no such affect.
The sounds are nice though
the paddel moves too slow for a fast paces game like breakout but other than that good job
