This is absolutely beautiful, I kid you not. it is absolutely BRIMMING with character and charming-ness. This to me feels more like Mario then Mario himself, how can people rate it so low just because it doesn't have a purpose? Art doesn't need a purpose. This is fantastically done, perfect. The only issue is it seems to change height a little jumpily, though that could just be the style. Seriously, I think this is amazing. The only "point" of this was to capture Mario, I am seeing things about "flashing backgrounds" and shit- appreciate it for what it is! It's about quality not quantity, so why rage-vote it so low based on one factor, like most of the internet does? Idiots. This is a show of your potential not a movie or series. Well done, I am gonna check out more of your work now!

I'll give you a 4 for the detailed animation of Mario along with the running.

Overall, this has nothing else to it besides a heavy-set running Mario.
You should have definitely added a background, possibly a flashing one or something, maybe changed it up every now and then and made him jump for something and it say "+1". You could have also added some sort of music loop in the background that would have made it much more entertaining to watch.

In closing, you should probably work on the little things of the Flash a little more.
