This film was completed before I started work on Tarboy, and I figured it was about time I packaged and released it. It was my third year animation project in college and the first larger scale short film I completed. It was also the first project completed that Hania and I collaborated on.

The production of this was an absolute nightmare to say the least. Working on this project was the reason I decided to do Tarboy completely in Flash.

My overall pipeline for animation looked something like this: 1.Draw images on paper. 2. Scan into Photoshop for digital paint. 3. Bring into morphing software for head turns 4. Export into Flash for character animation. 5. Export into After Effects for compositing. 6. Export into Premier for Editing.
I'm thinking this will receive a mixed response, but at this stage I'm glad it's finally out.

Hope you enjoy it, check out the bonus features if you want to learn more about my messy pre-production process.

It is the fall.

If you look at the apple and the heavens. Remember in Genesis, Lucifer tempted Eve with the apple from the tree of knowledge of good and Evil? This must be the authors interpretation of what happened when, he was cast from heaven.

I shows him walking through the ages on the desolate worlds surface, since Eden has been locked away from man. You notice his expression turns towards a hatred. The end is odd to comprehend since the chains come from the heavens. But, remember that Lucifer was shackled and then cast below the Earth to rule there.

Maybe his walk on the Earth surface was the time that he was given to think upon what he had done, and for God to rule a judgement over his most beautiful and precious Angel, whom had turned against him. A sad, sad story to behold indeed...

Really liked the animation, art and the story.
I would however, like to know the name of the music playing at the end? Did you make that yourself?

Good work.

I was left really confused for a moment and had to re watch it. If this was confusing for you, I recommend seeing the Animatic. It helped me look at it, (and cope with the ending lol) in a different manner.

Great movie. I do recommend this for this years tank awards. :) Technically and Creatively Superb!

That was simply inspiring and extremely deep, the moment I saw the artistic visuals the video captured me in. I honestly feel I have watched one of the greatest videos of all time, hope you make a sequel :D you really should.
