You lost 2 stars because you killed Tails! Why does everyone have to kill him in sprite movies?! He is generally the best character, I mean, he is slightly slower than Sonic, he can fly, IQ 300, invented the famous spindash, tail swipe, multiple tail swipe! Make him alive! If you make tails alive then it's 32-bit diamond aka. 11/10

It's an old show, but yes, you do have a point, not always should someone die.
However, it isn't academical, nor proper, nor even close enough to being rational to just cut points for preference. This is why the world is rotten downhill to hell as we know it.
Contrasts are a part of a series. Birth to death, peace to war, love to hate, etc etc. And these contrasts have to happen in order to evoke dramatic reactions or even goose bumps if you understand what I mean. It wasn't intentional to kill him just to make you, the audience, mad.
It was for the sake of the plot. I do agree it was not really well thought of but killing someone alone as part of a scene is not a good enough reason to have as a backup excuse for what you did.
Now if it was because of bad development or bad exposure, or lack of elements that could sooth the scenario as it is.
To be honest, I should have ignored this commentary because its bland and plain argument-isolated, but if someone keeps ignoring the lot of you forever you will never learn.
