Chains of Fate

Author Comments

Everyone is bound by fate. Fate can prove to be a blessing or a curse, and so, like metal chains, it can both support and constrain us.

Turin, whose fate had ripped him from his home, challenged destiny to regain what he had lost. However, he was unsuccessful and must now face the consequences of his actions.

I very interesting game for me. But can you send me the full story of this? :D

Too hard, but enjoyable nonetheless

The main reason it's hard is because of the short time limit. I'm fine with making things hard quickly, but simply not having enough time on hand feels cheap.

It also is a bit of a downer to realise there's only 3 levels. Add more levels please.

As for the gameplay itself, it's perfectly fine. I love how you don't have to save all - or any - of your friends to progress. And I like this whole 'swap tiles to connect stuff up' concept anyways, which other games do just as well. BUT YOU NEED TO FIX THE TIME LIMIT!

Other than that, I don't think I have anything to say. 3/5 7/10

disappontment at first...but it grows on you.

Starts off slow, but it does set the mood and pace. You have to hold the left mouse button down for a long time to get the guy moving down the road, then up a tower, I hate having to do this every level. But it is pretty funny when the guard slaps you if you stop walking for too long.

I would pretty much avoid using the "S" Key, I hit it on accident during the beginning and the game went to a white screen and froze.

Gameplay: You play pipedream for a while, but with chains. If you don't connect all of the chains to the bottom links....People fall to their death! It's kind of amusing when the people call out to you and say "Woof!" and "Don't worry Sis, Turin will save us." Sadly, whether they live or die has no effect on the outcome, you already have a good story, but that would have made it great.

Nejuf responds:

Oops, sorry about the "S" key problem. It should be fixed now. Thanks for the feedback.

Not enough game play.

If you want to tell a story, make an animation. While it is nice to have some plot to a game, this is overboard. There is so much text (with no option to skip) that I can't even bare to play it. Overall, it really isn't that bad. However, if you are going to make a game, make a game.

Pretty Deep Game

Most games are the same ol same ol launching a bleeding cat/turtle/plane for a distance or just shooting zombies, but this had some nice quotes from philosiphers, and many messages carrying some weight behind them. The graphics were okay, but I enjoyed playing the game a lot.

What irked me was how difficult this game was, requiring much complexity, as I'd have 3 ropes saving my bros, but when I'd move the 4th if I could pick up and place where I wanted, I could save all of them, but it alters everything. The short time limit makes it tough, almost forcing us to let some of them die.

I kept playing to read more words rather than flip wires, but it came close ;)

Sadly, i didn't understand all of what was going on with the guy,
but my parting comment is that it takes forever to "WALK" all the way up.

Nice work, it's something differnt, hope others enojyed it as well.
