Leptron is a space-based arcade-style shooter game.
Everything in the game was made from scratch by me, including all of the audio effects and music. I started this project in May of 2010, and finished it around December. Now that I've gotten around to publishing it, you can all enjoy it!
I look forward to hearing your feedback.

a really fun game, but it would be great if you could add a mode with just enemy ships, and an alternate one where you have no weapon, but with a much greater amount of asteroids. just a suggestion, it would definitely improve the game
AMAZING
A good game indeed. The controls may seem stupid to some people but why don't they just realize that is just another thing to challenge you. I mean geez not everything in life (or game life) is going to be handy dandy just the way you want it to be. I liked this game a lot. I noticed you said you made the music yourself. Any chance it could be in the audio portal?
It's on my to-do list. Check back in one or two days, and they should be there.
I really dislike this control scheme.
Why didn't you implement an Asteroids-like control scheme? You know, left and right to turn, up to move forward, down to brake, and space to shoot? That would have been a far superior choice to... this.
This game is largely (and I mean LARGELY) based off the Namco arcade classic Bosconian. The control scheme is essentially the same. The only difference is you don't start off with a rifle that shoots both forward and backward, which makes things harder the first few levels.
This is the most responsive, maneuverable set of controls, and once you get used to them, it's absolutely amazing. I tried several control schemes, and this was the one I decided on. Besides, asteroids-style controls would completely get in the way of the main point of the game, presenting a new challenge entirely.
I loved it!
Great game :D!
