(IF YOU HATE SPRITES, DON'T WATCH!) Well here it is! episode 2 isn't really hard to make though, didn't really take 2 months to finish unless I used 24 fps. I will use 24 fps in the next episode, really, I know how, and I added scene selection menu, for the first time!
[EDIT] I don't know if I were to cancel the series, and make action movies
[EDIT]I am just a kid, take it easy, dude,... Pls don't say bad words!

THIS IS GOOD BUT MAKE GREAT IDEAS BY YOURSELF

OK I KNOW IT'S LIKE A SMBZ BUT YOU KNOW WHO MADE THIS RIGHT?! It's a GR 5 STUDENT SO PLS DON'T PUT BADWORDS IN YOUR COMMENTS TO HIM

SuperMarioFan9000 responds:

Yeah, episode 3 is not like SMBZ, thanks for your review!

Not very good.

It was pretty much just a ripoff of SMBZ. The animation is really unnatural and odd looking. The sprites were always moving around. You also reused a lot of the same sprites. The DBZ sound effects just made it even more unoriginal. Also, the little parts where it pauses and you need to click play are really annoying. You should really get voice actors.

The plot was extremely hard to follow, you should have spent more time thinking it out. In addition, the plot was really nothing. There was a fight and then another fight and then they find out Bowser cloned himself or something. Although I didn't watch the first one, and I'm not going to any time soon.

To sum it up, don't create SMBZ clones, and try making animations with actual drawings, because most people here on NG despise sprite animations.

SuperMarioFan9000 responds:

If you hate sprite animations, why did you watch it? Didn't you see? I wrote (IF YOU HATE SPRITES DON'T WATCH!) With a Caps Lock.
You know you SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS ARE NOT MY CURRENT SKILLS. I AM MUCH BETTER NOW.

Short, Cliche, and Confusing

Well your animation has improved a little since your previous episode, the sound is still good, but still not much going on. The characters are still bigger than their background settings and the music choice was superb and worked well here. My only real problem now is the story. We have Starlow come in, use his power and the Peach's wish power to get rid of Bowser after Luigi kills another Bowser. It sounds interesting, but the way you used Peach to get rid of the second Bowser was just confusing and cliche, practically a cop out. I still want to see more from this, but it needs to be improved from the text boxes to the animation. Once those are improved you should be on a roll.

You need to hone your animation skills

Your spriting skills are getting better, but there are still some improvements you could make and problems you can fix:

- You left some background pixels on the explosions. Make sure to delete them.

- When Luigi turned Fire Luigi, the quality of him was sucky. Make sure your bitmaps have "Lossless (PNG/Gif)" turned on in the "Bitmap Properties" window.

- Next time make sure to blend the high quality special effects into the background.

- Add Spacebar actionscript to the text boxes so people can read at their own pace whilst not having to click on the screen each time they wish to advance to the next text box.

- Fix the black screen at the end of the movie so it goes to your "REPLAY?" button automatically.

- Some of the sprites were not animated correctly, specifically Bowser's "Idle Pose". Have his feet aligned at the bottom so when he is animated he is not shaking up and down.

- You should add some "Quality Buttons" so people with slow computers can watch "Mario Battle Bros" without lag.

- Assuming your inspiration was "Super Mario Bros Z", try not to copy too many story elements from it.

- Just throwing in a useful tip, try using a VCam so you don't have to resize the sprites too much.

That's it for my review. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, I wasn't trying to be. You got potential, but your skills need some work. Keep practing on your animation skills and you'll get really good one day.

SuperMarioFan9000 responds:

No it's ok! I know your not harsh.

Not bad

Not a bad sprite movie at all, but I think you need to work on your sprite ripping, as some of the sprites still have left over pixels from when you got rid of the background. You can't really miss it since they are bright green squares, so just mind that for next time.
