Okay, but...

What does the shield do? Other than that, I like the concept, and how it isn't dressed up with needlessly fancy graphics/sfx.

Even though it's simple it's actually quite fun. With some more interesting graphics, a background, music and upgrades/levels/different enemies this could be alright.
If there's anything that bothers me, it's that you should be able to click anywhere to begin, pause and unpause.

needs a leader board, zero replay value without some type of goal, more more content

reminds me of snake on cellphones as a kid

i used to play a game called snake on a cellphone as a kid and this reminds me a LOT of it. it brings me back.
