This is the export version of one of my entrants into 8bitrocket's 16KB Retro Remake contest. I've always been disappointed that the oldest games are always about shooting and not breaking faces. I look at them and shout "How hard could it have been to break faces in the 1980s???" The answer: not very. :Earth Zone isn't very long, but there will be sequels that are longer and harder, because everything should get longer and harder.

This definitely shows why they never made games like this. Even though there have been seriously worse game than this by far. The controls suffer a bit when attacking as the character moves forward and into the attacking enemy...that gets really annoying. Plus they get cheap shots in when their weapon don't even hit and you still take damage. Not a horrible job on this....but.....bleh !!
I admit it's not fantastic, but it's at least as good as all the crappy shooters they made back then. In my book, a crappy brawler is automatically better than a crappy shooter.
