Version 1.1 is here! I added some much-needed music and outlined all the graphics. Try to unlock all the ship skins and get the "bullseye" achievement for a really cool bonus skin! not half bad.
great game, for starters. a few small things would make it perfect, though. firstly, a few more items in the shop wouldn't hurt. maybe extra fast missles, or atomic bombs with xxl explosion range. also, the evolutions are pathetic. first chicken, then santa?! if not for the mario one, these would be insanely lame upgrades.
I wouldn't really consider these upgrades, considering they don't really add anything to the gameplay :P They're more silly than anything, but thanks for the ideas! The reason the game is so small is because of some preloader issues I had if I ever fix them then Doodle Air Strike 2 will have everything you could ask for :). I'd like to upgrade to as3 pretty soon, I'm sure it would help. Thanks for the review, though :)

good could be better
I like the concept of the game but a few small tweaks would make it better.
staying alive is highly reliant on the balloons which appear at what seems to be completely random intervals. sometimes you dont get any and some times you get them constantly. it might be better if the interval was in a smaller time range. it would be nice if they were more frequent when the plane got low because it would give the player a chance to survive.
o btw why is only one in colour? it looks way better than the black n white.
Thanks for the good review! If I ever make another version, I'll be sure to change the balloon rate based on your height on the playing field. The color in that one ship skin was a last-minute decision, and I'm glad you like it! Only one is in color because all the unlockables have a different sort of feature. The first one is just plain so that it encourages the user to upgrade, the second one has color, and if you unlock the second and third ones it's sort of self-explanatory :P
