I wanted to build something confrontational, that would engage players to give thought to what they are doing both in and out of game.

The result is 'Loved' - a short story in the form of a flash platformer.

1. It should be much easier to perform precise drops now
2. Resurrecting inside walls should no longer be possible
3. Slope-related glitching should no longer occur
4. Added a small secret

Very beautiful plat former. The controls are a little stiff, but that's alright.

This game reminds me of a mother who wants a child to do their bidding, wanting to know how far they'd push themselves for love. The moment the child realizes that what your mother feels is not love, they start to make decisions on their own and the mother doesn't want this. She still wants her child and pushes down their attempts to become independent, even when it's time to let them go. Only then she says "Why do you hate me? I loved you." The child hears the word "loved" and leaves, confirming the notion that the mother didn't love them, they wanted to control them.

I flinch every time the character breaks apart. Like, it (excuse me) is just that fragile. Like glass. It's a gut-wrenching noise, for me anyway. So I really FELT what was going on. Submit and enjoy the praise, but the world becomes so much more... Dead.

Or defy and feel absolutely ashamed. A worlds with more colour, but and absolute disaster to go through.

I have no idea.

But I love this game.

Everyone needs to play this game, it should be in everyone interest. It really has me thinking about my own life my own special person, do I love them do I hate them? Should I leave or stay? Still trying to figure that part yet.

I once heard that the best art is purely subjective- something that has a different meaning for all of us.
If that is the case, then this is nothing short of a masterpiece.
Can't wait for your next one.
